A ÁRVORE-PULMÃO
O TRABALHO É COMO UMA ÁRVORE, QUE ACOLHE EM SUA SOMBRA E ALIMENTA COM SEUS FRUTOS. É O SÍMBOLO QUE REPRESENTA O SUSTENTÁCULO DA VIDA.
NESTA TRAGÉDIA DO AMIANTO, OS OBREIROS ENTREGAVAM INOCENTEMENTE O SEU COTIDIANO AO TRABALHO, QUE ACREDITAVAM ESTAR GARANTINDO O SEU SUSTENTO E DE SUAS FAMÍLIAS E, POR CONSEGUINTE, A VIDA.
A CADA DIA, ENTRETANTO, ESTAVAM SENDO LENTAMENTE ENVENENADOS .
ESTA CONTRADIÇÃO CRUEL É O QUE A ÁRVORE-PULMÃO EXPRESSA.
É UMA METÁFORA. UMA REFERÊNCIA ESTÉTICA ÀS ÁRVORES-PULMÕES DO PLANETA TERRA, PROJETANDO UM CONCEITO DE VIDA PULSANTE.
O TRONCO COM SUAS LINHAS RETAS REPRESENTA AS FIBRAS DO MINERAL, OS GALHOS SUPERIORES SIMBOLIZAM O MACROCOSMO E AS FOLHAGENS OS PULMÕES DAS MILHARES DE VÍTIMAS DA CATÁSTROFE DO AMIANTO, ESPALHADAS PELO MUNDO.

THE LUNGS TREE
Labor is like a tree which welcomes and harbors under its shade and feeds with it's fruits.
It's a symbol representing fundamentals of Life.
In the asbesto tragedy, workers innocently delivered their daily lives to the work they believed would guarantee their livelihood, that of their families, and therefore their life.
Paradoxically every day they were slowly being poisoned.
This is the contradiction this artwork expresses.
It's a metaphor. An aesthetical reference to the trees, lungs of planet Earth. It irradiates a concept of the pulsation of Life.
The tree trunk in straight lines embodies the asbesto's molecule. The upper rings signal the circular movements of the Cosmos. The branches and leaves mimic the lungs of thousands of victims of the asbesto catastrophe all over the world.
